Player Registration

All players must be registered with the Carolina Challenge Baseball League to be eligible to play in any CCBL tournaments. The registration fee of $12 covers the cost of insurance for the calendar year and administrative costs. The fee is the same whether you register in March or October, and covers only the calendar year we are in at the time you register. For example, if you register in March, you are covered for both the spring and fall tournaments. If you register in October, you are covered for the fall tournaments only. The master insurance policy runs for the calendar year, and players are added to the policy when they register. Each spring, we must get a new policy.

Information required when you register:

  • Player’s full name.
  • Player’s date of birth.
  • Player’s emergency contact; parent or guardian name, email address, and phone number.
  • Player’s league or association (Olde Providence, Steele Creek, etc.).
  • Player’s age group (8U, 10U, etc.) Note: a 9 year old may play 10U.

The registration fee must be paid when the player is registered. Parents may register their player individually, or a coach may register all the players on his team. If the coach does the registration, he must list all the information required for player number one, then add him to the shopping cart and continue shopping to add player number two. The coach needs to pay the registration fee when he registers the team, so he will need to collect the fees from the parents.

A player may be added to the team before the start of a tournament as long as the player is registered and the fee paid before the player is added to the roster.
